When we think of aging, we often think of physical and emotional fragility, loneliness, loss of strength or maybe even of becoming invisible to our surroundings. Are there even any other ways to age than this stereotypical one we know from movies and literature? In this discussion, we will focus on non-stereotypical (queer) aging in normative society, that doesn’t have to make you feel lonely or invisible. We will talk about topics important for queer elderly – how they experience aging, what role relationship values play in their life and how they think about them in terms of non-normativity.

The discussion will be led by Aneta Podzimková and Jolana Novotná.
