The first year of the Brno Rainbow Pride Run is here! We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 12:00 in Anthropos Park. The charity event with the subtitle "We run for equal rights" will bring a 4.5 km long race supporting the LGBT+ community.
Run with us for equal rights! The first edition of the Brno Rainbow Pride Run is here! The fundraising event with the subtitle "We run for equal rights" will take place on Saturday, 18 May 2024 at 12:00 in the Anthropos Park. As one of the opening events of this year's Brno Pride Week, it will offer all active and recreational athletes, supporters of the LGBT+ community, and families with children an enjoyable afternoon. You can look forward to a run around the Svratka River to the Kamenná colony and back along a cycle path of about 4.5 km. We would like to start a tradition, so come and enjoy a pleasant sports afternoon with us.
The first group will start at 13:00, but the program awaits you until 17:00. You can look forward to sports and creative stations for children, speed friending and much more. Come with your friends, loved ones, or family to celebrate diversity and support the LGBTQ+ community and enjoy the run and accompanying program! 😊
Timetable
- 12:00 – Start of the event, official launch of the Brno Pride Week 2024 festival
- 12:15–13:50 – Registration of runners
- 13:00 – Start of the race for parents with children (adult has to run, child can use bicycle, scooter, bouncer); Route: 1.5 km
- 14:00 – Start of the race for adults (women's and men's categories will start at the same time); Route: 4.5 km
- 14:00 – Beginning of the accompanying program
- 15:00–15:30 – Publication of results and announcement of winners
Organization of the event
It will be run along the cycle path from the Anthropos park in the direction of Kamenná kolonie and back along the same route. The meeting point for participants is in the back of the Anthropos park (next to the building at Pisarecká 270/9). There is a public car park here, but we recommend using public transport as the number of spaces is limited. During the race, it is necessary to respect other visitors to Anthropos Park and athletes on the bike path to avoid collisions.
A cloakroom will be available for participants, where they can store their belongings for the entire duration of the event, and a mobile toilet. As part of the paid entry fee, a bottle of water and fruit will be waiting for you.
For the first three runners in each category, there will be cups and prizes.

With the starting fee you support the Brno Pride Week festival. This year's programme offers a total of 33 different events, 10 of which have a paid admission.
